Halloween Celebration
was a
Great Success! |
|

|
We had a wonderful Halloween trick or treat time on
Saturday night, October 29th. The YMCA camp decided against
holding a Halloween event this year so the school's PTO took over
the event, rounded up candy-hander-outers throughout town, created a
haunted house in the Town Hall, and had games at the Community
Center. |
The
town has not been so lively on a Saturday night since, well, I
don't know since when. Candy was handed out on the church steps
and the Parsonage as well as at a number of other houses. The
kids were really cute, especially the little boy who was dressed
as a school bus.
Congratulations to the PTO for such a great job in pulling it all
together and providing a fun night for all concerned!

Noel Nilson Honored |
|
|
 |
Noel Nilson was honored at today's
worship service for his many years of valuable service and
contributions to Colebrook Congregational Church. Pastor Alice
presented Noel with a Brass Abacus mounted on a walnut base with
pen-holder.
The following tribute was read and
presented to Noel, fittingly accompanied by a standing ovation from
an appreciative congregation: |

CCC Jumble ~ Tag & Bake Sale a Big Success!
The Jumble Tag and Bake Sale was
a wonderful success due to the donations and hard work of so
many people. Special thanks go to the workers who set up
the sale, those who donated baked goods and tag-sale items,
those who helped out the day of the sale, the sturdy folks
who helped with the clean up and all those who were our
customers. The total netted from the sale was $1,123.00.
This sum considered a “special gift” will be matched by our
Matching Gift Challenge donor. |
